How to resize images online
- 1Add your images
Choose one or more JPG, PNG, or WebP images and review their original pixel dimensions.
- 2Set the new dimensions
Enter a width or height or choose a preset. Keep the aspect ratio locked to prevent unwanted stretching unless you intentionally need different proportions.
- 3Resize and download
Create the resized images, verify their new dimensions and file sizes, then download the finished files.
Resize multiple images to exact dimensions
Toollix works as an online image resizer for JPG, PNG, and WebP files. You can resize a single image or process multiple images together when they need consistent dimensions.
Reducing pixel dimensions can also reduce file size. Enlarging an image, however, cannot recreate detail that was not present in the original, which is why enlargement remains disabled by default unless explicitly selected.
You can also crop your image or compress the image.
Choosing the right image dimensions for websites
Avoid serving a very large camera image when the layout displays it at only a fraction of its original dimensions. Resize images close to the largest size they will actually render while accounting for higher-density displays when necessary.
Keep aspect ratios consistent across repeated components, provide width and height where appropriate to reduce layout movement, and allow responsive image systems such as WordPress srcset to serve suitable variants.

Frequently asked questions
Can I resize multiple images at once?
Yes. Toollix supports multiple image uploads up to the batch limit displayed in the tool, so you can resize several images in one workflow.
What does lock aspect ratio do?
It keeps width and height proportional so the image is not unintentionally stretched or distorted.
Can I resize an image to exact pixels?
Yes. Enter the width or height you need and use the aspect-ratio controls according to the result you want.
Does resizing an image reduce quality?
Reducing dimensions generally works well when the result is viewed at its intended size. Enlarging cannot create genuine missing detail and may make an image appear softer.
What size should a website image be?
Use dimensions close to the largest size the design actually displays. The right dimensions depend on the layout, responsive breakpoints, and whether higher-density screens need additional resolution.
